  1. Duration - 3 years
  2. Eligibility -  LLB admission is to complete 10+2+3, with a minimum of 45 percent marks in aggregate for general category, whereas it is 40 percent for SC/ST category from a recognised board.
  3. Overview - Legum Baccalaureus or LLB course is a popular course among graduates who wish to enter the field of litigation or legal education. Candidates learn the nuances of public and private law, which are applicable across various matters such as criminal matters, civil disputes, tax, and commercial disputes. Candidates are awarded the degree only when they complete all the semesters i.e. 3 years of LLB course duration. Candidates are required to take part in regular theory classes, moot courts, internships as well and tutorial work as a part of LLB Law degrees. 

Scope and Career opportunities

Apart from becoming a lawyer, there are plenty other opportunities for an LLB graduate such as to work in Law firms, MNCs, Government Agencies, Judicial Bodies, Banks, Litigation, etc and also can explore industries by getting job roles like Law Officer, Advocate, Litigator, Corporate Lawyer, etc. After pursuing an LLB, one can either pursue higher studies by doing an LLM or a PhD. This will open doors to academia and research. One may start practicing as an advocate by enrolling in the local state bar and also appearing in the All India Bar Examination. Candidates can also appear for various judicial and civil service examinations or other government and banking examinations.
